How do I reactivate my Strapi Cloud account after making a payment?

Your Strapi Cloud project has been suspended due to a missed payment, and you've successfully made the payment but your account still appears suspended. This can happen when payments don't process automatically or when there are issues with payment processing through your bank or card provider.

Answer

In most cases, Strapi Cloud accounts automatically reactivate once a successful payment is processed. However, if your account remains suspended after payment, follow these steps.

Automatic reactivation

  1. Wait up to one hour after payment for the system to process and automatically reactivate your account.

  2. Log into your Strapi Cloud dashboard to confirm access has been restored.

Manual reactivation options

If automatic reactivation doesn't work:

  1. Use the reactivation button: In your Strapi Cloud dashboard, open your project and go to Billing & Usage. Click Reactivate now to retry payment processing. This option is available to the project owner only.

  2. Update your payment method: Go to billing.strapi.io and sign in with the email associated with your account (you'll receive a one-time verification code). Open the Payment methods tab and add or update your card. The default card is charged for all transactions. Add a new card and set it as the default before removing an existing one. Removing a card attached to a subscription cancels that subscription.

  3. Check for unpaid invoices: At billing.strapi.io, open the Invoices tab to review your invoice status. An Unpaid invoice requires manual payment — it will not retry automatically. Pay it directly from the Invoices tab.

  4. Contact support: If the above steps don't resolve the issue, contact Strapi support. Our team can manually retry the charge, send a direct payment link via email from billing@strapi.io, and investigate any payment processing issues with your provider.

Common payment issues

If you're experiencing repeated payment failures:

  • Banking regulations: Some regions (particularly India) have banking regulations that may block international payments. Contact your bank to approve Strapi/Stripe transactions.

  • Card restrictions: Your card may not support this type of purchase. Try a different payment method or contact your card provider.

  • Annual payment option: Consider switching to an annual payment plan to avoid monthly payment processing issues.
