Using a custom database with Strapi Cloud
It is possible to use a custom database with Strapi Cloud however there are a few key things you should keep in mind:
- The Strapi Support Team will not be able to provide assistance to you on any issues that may come about during or after you use an external database source
- It is not possible for us to provide you with a list of IP addresses or domains you can use to whitelist on your database hosting provider
- Both speed and performance may be lower due to geographical region differences between your database and the Strapi instance or due to the SQL connection being ran over the public internet (which will have a higher ping and latency than within our data centers)
